I started my firm with a singular passion; helping others to create excellent organizations by unleashing the excellence in their members. My point of view was formed during my years in operations at United Parcel Service, and organizational development at CMS Energy and General Motors. I left corporate life twenty five years ago to concentrate on helping like minded clients achieve excellence. The practical, “dirt under the finger nail” lens I developed working from the factory floor to the boardroom quickly became a large part of my organization’s brand. There is a lot of great knowledge and research available; however, if it can’t be communicated with a real world approach, it will never manifest itself in the behaviors of those doing the work.

I am fortunate to have spent much of my consulting career as a Sr. Consultant in the tompeters!company, a role I still fill. During my years at tompeters!company, I worked along side Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, authors of The Leadership Challenge. This extremely well researched model has become the standard of excellence in leadership education. Its behavioral focus makes it a powerful learning experience for leaders at all levels. I am a founding Master Facilitator of The Leadership Challenge and a Pfeiffer Preferred Partner.

I am also grateful for the opportunities to address large audiences of leaders through my keynotes, including engagements for the Governor of Michigan’s conference on labor and management cooperation, Chrysler’s and Caterpillar’s quality conferences, the US intelligence community, NIH, ASME, and many association speeches.
